The Project
The Problem
Competitive Research
As part of my studies, I established a new design for the Weekend website, which offers Zimmer, boutique hotels and hiking vacations.
The existing website design is old fashioned, the images and texts are
small and uninviting.
Navigation within the website is inconvenient and messy and the user may get confused from the amount of content and text they are presented with.
Within the initial search function, there are no filtration options and the website
does not display prices.
As part of the project, I have conducted a market research which compared the website to its competitors within the market and helped me make decisions concerning planning and website design.

The Solution
Creating a new hierarchy within the website which includes a new and modern design, enlarged images, displayed prices, and reviews and rankings within the main page.
Building a new and prominent search engine which enables the user to perform a search by various criteria, such as- dates, price range, area and more.
Wireframes
Firstly, I designed the home page, which allows the user to start their vacation searching process and view the most popular locations, the last-minute available destinations, etc.

Home page
Following the above-mentioned process, the user will reach the page of their chosen hotel\ Zimmer, there they will receive all relevant accommodation details, reviews, type of rooms, attractions, etc., and will be able to begin the booking process.

The Design
Through the design I wanted to create an inviting and experiential feeling.
I preserved the existing logo’s colorfulness in order to maintain a unified language.
I decided to minimize the amount of text and give more space to large images, which will invite and encourage the user to make a purchase.
